Originally from Charlotte, life’s journey has taken Leanne through many moves around the country in pursuit of education, career, and family life. Now back in the city where she was born, she can say with genuine authority, that this truly is the best place to live, and that appreciation for Charlotte’s quality of life shines through in her real estate work.
Leanne earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University. That thirst for knowledge has served her well in her real estate career, making her naturally tenacious in conducting research and being in thorough command of the many details and fine points that make for a smooth and successful real estate transaction. Not shy about assuming demanding professional roles, Leanne formerly worked for Chrysler/Daimler Chrysler’s Property Tax Department where she achieved a Michigan Level 2 Assessor Certification and was responsible for all property tax aspects for over 80 million square feet of real estate across the country. She later held leadership positions at the University of Georgia, as Department Head of Data Measurement & Assessment for the Continuing Education Center, and was also responsible for overseeing a women’s scholarship fund.
Today, she has found a creative way to join her love of architecture, her professional experience in the finance world, and the innate pleasure she derives from helping and educating people – all in the practice of real estate. Her work ethic centers on giving her “all” to each and every client, and that is hand-tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. It can be focusing on taking first-time buyers under her wing and educating, guiding them through the process; it can be making her client stand out from the competition in a multiple offer situation; or it can be the application of sheer grit and determination to overcome complicating issues that sometime arise in the course of a transaction.
And when asked how she keeps her client base growing, Leanne simply replies that there is no such thing as a “stranger” in her book, she has that natural affinity and ability to get to know people instantly and make new friends; it’s just simply who she is!
Determination is evident in the non-work side of Leanne’s life, as well. She is currently training to compete in a triathlon this summer, and yet she never loses sight of her top priority – family. Her husband, Dan, and their two school-age children, Maxon and Anika, are always busy with activities connected to the school, the neighborhood, and life at home.
